This results in different surface textures, which are one of a floor’s key features and require tremendous craftsmanship. Our customers can choose from three different surface textures.

Brushed surface
The soft earlywood annual rings are brushed out with brushes of varying degrees of hardness. The structure of the wood, its grain, is thus highlighted and slightly raised, giving the floorboard greater depth, which is perceptible to both the eye and the touch. Brushed wooden surfaces are natural, solid and resilient surfaces.
Hand planed surface
This centuries-old traditional skill lends the wooden surface a particular character and bears the signature of the master craftsman who applied it. The method requires a great deal of skill, care and a trained eye to bring out the wood’s innate beauty. The result is a velvety, slightly wavy surface that feels pleasantly smooth and boasts an elegant sheen.

Nature deluxe surfaces are one-off creations that highlight the vitality of the wood in a unique manner. These floors are extremely pleasant to the touch and truly elevate nature to an exquisite form. The characteristics of the wood are deliberately accentuated in a patented procedure and time-intensive drying process. The result is one of the most sensuous surfaces to be found in architecture, contributing visual and haptic enrichment without dominating the room. This procedure is especially suited to showcasing the striking features of veneers from our rustic grade.
