Jacoby Studios in Paderborn Completed

Wimmer Floorboards in DCA Berlin’s New Project

The new headquarters of Jacoby Studios in Paderborn has been completed following a three-year conversion. Built to designs by David Chipperfield Architects Berlin, the former Capuchin monastery was turned into a modern office building with exciting references to the historic structure. The project is among those longlisted for the “Dezeen Award 2020” and was nominated for the German submissions for the “Mies van der Rohe Award 2021”.

For this building project, the Wimmer wooden flooring company produced 4,200 m2 of oak floorboards: natural grade | colour Sand 2 | thickness 19 mm | top layer approx. 5 mm | random lengths 2.20 – 3.00 metres | Specific distribution of widths each with approx. 30% in 24.5 cm and 27.5 cm and each with 20% in 30.5 cm and 33.5 cm.
