The floor of a room is the most important element of the interior. It is not only a style element: it basically acts as a stage, highlighting the actual composition. If wood is then the material of choice, we turn to Wimmer and have done so for many years now. We have always been delighted with their quality and service. Every floor is produced to order and, with regard to colouring in particular, the company is able to respond flexibly to the nuances of the interior concept. It’s really worth taking a trip to the sawmill, where, along with ourselves and Mr Wimmer, our clients can select the surface of the wooden floor by hand and piece by piece. Such an experience makes a lasting impression on the client and greatly enriches the process of a building project.

Collaboration with Wimmer is a straightforward affair. Our latest joint project was the Neues Tor Hotel in Bad Wimpfen. We used wood in widely varying laying patterns and dimensions, from classical long and wide floorboards through to panel floors with basket weave and herringbone patterns, which we combined using special laying techniques. Such floors can only achieve the desired effect with good and professional support throughout the entire project, especially when custom colours are involved. That is what we got from Wimmer. I can recommend working with them at any time.

I heard about Wimmer through a friend, and our first joint project was the Hermann’s Men boutique 8 years ago. The result was so convincing that I wanted a Wimmer floor for my home too. During the planning phase, I decided to have the magnificent oak floorboards laid throughout the whole house. I studied interior architecture and am very discerning when it comes the beauty and quality of the things I surround myself with. Wimmer convinced me in every possible way. The service, the quality and the advice were all just as I would wish for. Our latest project was the ladies’ boutique this summer. I knew from my own experience how the patina of a Wimmer wooden floor develops so exquisitely over the years, even with heavy use. That’s why I didn’t hesitate to invest once again in such special surface quality. In this case, timing was critical: everything had to be done on exactly the day it was scheduled – and that’s the way it was.
